Military Relocation to El Paso Texas & Fort Bliss-Biggs Area

Mesquite Hills was formally Bowen Ranch land sold to developers for the Ft. Bliss military families moving to El Paso. Therefore Mesquite subdivision is a fairly new neighborhood in the northeast of El Paso. It is about 5 miles from McCombs aMesquite homesnd very close to the New Mexico Chaparral area. The builders in this area are Edwards Homes, Classic American Homes, and Zia Homes. Most builders in El Paso are building 3 bedroom/2bath room homes of about 1450 sq ft. with 2 car garage and an average price of $130K. These homes are predominantly stucco with some stag stone elevations. The lots size is about 5000 sf unless you pay for a premium lot. Homes have carpet with tile only in the wet areas like the kitchen and bathrooms unless you upgrade to tile throughout. Developers must set aside some land for parks so there are a few playgrounds in the neighborhood.

Most of the homeowners are military families mostly enlisted. Most officers ask me to show them homes only on the west side. Just drive south on 54 for a few miles and you will find all the shopping and restaurants you want. One of the most beneficial reasons for buying in Mesquite is the fact that there are no apartment complexes in this subdivision. This means most of these single family homes are owner occupied and that gives people a peace of mind that the neighborhood is not changing every few months. 9/100
